On June 20, 2019 Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi adopted a resolution titled:

"SUPPORTS ACADEMIC RESEARCH RELATING TO LAND TITLES IN HAWAII AS ESSENTIAL TO UNDERSTANDING LAND TRANSFERS AFTER THE ILLEGAL OVERTHROW OF THE HAWAIIAN KINGDOM GOVERNMENT ON JANUARY 17, 1893."

This resolution and accompanying cover letter were sent to Hawai'i News News, but as of this posting has received no response. The resolution and cover letter were also sent to Honolulu Civil Beat, which declined to publish it in their Community Voices column and declined to remove any of journalist Ian Lind's previous poorly researched stories regarding Hawaiʻi's political and legal context from their website.

You can access the full PDF of the resolution here, and the cover letter here.
